British and Commonwealth Title Fight

Tonight Sam Sexton took on David Price for the vacant British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Title.

There was quite a lot of build-up to this fight in the boxing world as David Price is an up-and-coming star in boxing with 14 fights and 14 wins, 12 of those wins coming from Knock-Outs.

David Price had the upper hand throughout the fight but in the fourth round he took control.  He first knocked down Sexton with a powerful upper-cut and from there Sam couldn’t find his balance to get back into the fight.  The second and final knock-down came at 2 minutes and 7 seconds into the fourth round.  With a great, powerful punch by Price, Sexton was down and out.  He was a little dazed for a few minutes afterward but he is alright now.

Liverpool now finally has their Heavyweight champion, now keep an eye on David Price, because you will be seeing a lot more of this man very soon.
